The wrong music was played as the hong kong national anthem representative at the medal presentation ceremony of the Asian Classic Powerlifting Championship 2022 in Dubai yesterday (December 2). The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) strongly condemns and condemns the occurrence.
According to the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), the Hong Kong athlete and team manager followed the SF&OC norms and reacted swiftly during the medal presentation ceremony, causing the organizer to pause the event and make corrections. The HKSAR Government acknowledges the action done on the scene by Hong Kong legislators, which maintained national dignity.
The SF&OC has already said that an extensive inquiry would be carried out. The HKSAR Government is concerned about the occurrence and has asked the SF&OC to provide a report as soon as feasible and to investigate it thoroughly.
